## Description

Waldklimafonds is a German initiative focused on conserving forests and supporting their sustainable use. Its website brings together information about forest-related projects, research, practical guidance and current developments. Visitors can explore selected projects and a project database, with topics spanning biodiversity, digitalisation, forest and wood, climate impacts, carbon storage, forest management under climate change, wildfire, and water.

The initiative highlights work addressing challenges such as forest fires, tree diseases and the effects of a changing climate. Its news and research features share project results, expert discussions and public events, including online seminars and a conference. The site also provides educational resources through its media library, with brochures and guidance on subjects such as beech forest management, ash dieback and findings from Germany’s national forest inventory.

Waldklimafonds serves people seeking reliable information on forest research and practice, including forestry professionals, researchers and the wider public. The website identifies the Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe (FNR) as the project sponsor and links to further resources on sustainable forestry and the benefits of forest ecosystems.
