## Description

WALK is an Irish organisation founded in 1967 to provide community-based support for people with intellectual disabilities. Its work also supports adults with autism to pursue their career and employment ambitions. Guided by a vision of inclusive communities where everyone has equal rights and opportunities, WALK aims to help each person live a full and meaningful life of their own choosing. Its values include equality, non-discrimination and self-determination, and its approach is underpinned by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

WALK offers supported living across 17 community settings, with individualised and shared arrangements. It also supports people to take part in everyday community life, including education, employment, social activities and skill development. The organisation works with educators and employers to create opportunities for growth, responsibility and connection, and provides information and support for families and carers. Through Walkinstown Green Social Enterprise Ltd, WALK operates a café, garden and gift shop, open seven days a week.
