Danielle Varga is an accomplished independent nonfiction producer with a wealth of experience in the documentary film industry. Over the past decade, she has worked on a diverse range of projects, showcasing her talent and creativity. One of her notable recent works includes producing an episode for the acclaimed PBS series Art in the Twenty-First Century, which was honored with a Peabody Award.
Additionally, she co-produced the feature documentary The Stroll, a compelling film that made its debut at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 2023 and was later released by HBO. Varga's impressive portfolio also includes producing films such as Bulletproof (SXSW 2020) and the critically acclaimed documentary The Hottest August (True/False 2019), both of which are distributed by PBS Independent Lens and Grasshopper Film. In addition to her film production work, Varga has served in various roles such as consulting producer, archival producer, and field producer for numerous documentaries.
She has earned recognition for her contributions to the industry, including being listed on DOC NYC's 40 Under 40 filmmakers to watch and being a Sundance Creative Producing Fellow.
