Walk in My Shoes is the flagship awareness-raising and education campaign of St Patrick's Mental Health Services (SPMHS). Established in 2012, the campaign aims to promote positive mental health, tackle mental health stigma, and change perceptions surrounding mental health, particularly among young people. Thousands of students and teachers from across Ireland have participated in the campaign, sparking important conversations about mental health. Walk in My Shoes offers a range of free wellbeing resources for young people, parents, and guardians, as well as primary and secondary school teachers. Throughout the year, the campaign organizes various activities, including school achievement awards, short film competitions, Transition Year placements, and week-long programs of online activities. They also provide a unique School Portal, allowing schools nationwide to showcase their efforts in promoting mental health and wellbeing. With the support of ambassadors and an advisory committee, Walk in My Shoes aims to raise awareness, educate young people, and end the stigma surrounding mental health.
