He then immigrated to the US, where he trained under the guidance of Tadashi Sato, a renowned Japanese chef. With Sato's mentorship, Jun mastered the art of Japanese cooking, becoming the first non-Japanese manager at I Love Sushi. Inspired by his experiences and eager to showcase his culinary prowess, Jun opened Wasabi at the tender age of 29.

His mantra, I make sushi for every guest as if I were making it for my own son, permeates every dish served at Wasabi.
