## Description

Washi Judo Klub is a judo club based at Odense Sportscentrum in Odense, on the Danish island of Funen. The club welcomes beginners and experienced judoka of different ages and offers training focused on technique, strength, fitness and discipline. Judo, meaning “the gentle way,” uses balance-breaking, throws, foot sweeps and ground fighting, and is grounded in mutual respect.

Children’s classes introduce basic judo skills and values through exercise and games. Young participants practise falling safely, coordination, balance and body control, and can progress to learning about competition and taking part in tournaments when ready. Classes for adults aged 15 and over are divided into beginner and advanced training. Beginners learn judo techniques and values, while experienced and competition-focused members build strength and conditioning and prepare for events. Friday sessions bring participants together to train and learn from one another.

Washi Judo Klub prepares members for competitions in Denmark and internationally, and offers prospective members a free trial session.
