# World Association of Sign Language Interpreters - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `wasli.org` - **Employees:** 2+ - **Company kind:** NON PROFIT ## Description World Association of Sign Language Interpreters (WASLI) is a global membership organization dedicated to advancing the field of sign language interpreting worldwide. Our mission is to promote excellence in interpreting and ensure accessibility for deaf individuals in various settings. As a brand, we do not provide sign language interpreting services directly, but we collaborate with partners, such as the WFD-WASLI IS Certified Interpreters list, to connect those in need with qualified interpreters. WASLI offers a range of products and services to support sign language interpreters. This includes conferences like the upcoming WASLI 2023 in South Korea, where professionals can network and enhance their skills. We also provide resources for interpreter trainers, mentoring programs, and research materials. Our publications, including the WASLI Code of Ethics, are widely recognized as industry standards. Additionally, we actively collaborate with organizations like the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) and the World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB) to ensure inclusive communication for all. Join WASLI as an individual or organizational member and be a part of the global movement towards professional sign language interpreting.
