## Description

Water Horizon is a Toulouse-based deep-tech start-up founded in 2017, focused on helping industrial businesses transition to more sustainable energy systems. Its technology captures waste heat from industrial operations and stores it in a mobile thermal battery, allowing that energy to be transported and used elsewhere or at a later time as renewable heat or cooling. The approach addresses industrial waste heat, energy costs, carbon impact, and the decarbonization of industry.

Water Horizon serves both industrial sites that need cooling and those that produce surplus heat. For cooling customers, it offers low-carbon refrigeration designed to reduce costs and avoid upfront investment. For heat producers, it provides a way to recover and valorize waste heat by supplying another site with renewable heating or cooling. The company also offers a Cooling as a Service model, in which customers pay for the energy they consume. Through heat recovery, thermal storage, transport, and renewable cooling, Water Horizon aims to improve energy efficiency and help industrial customers lower the environmental impact of their operations.
