## Description

Watermill Group is a Boston-based, strategy-driven private investment firm that has been acquiring, operating, and improving companies since 1978. The firm focuses on strategic transformation, working with businesses to identify opportunities, set a course for growth, and realize their potential. Its approach combines investment with hands-on support for portfolio companies, including strategic and operational initiatives and, where appropriate, facility improvements and acquisitions.

Watermill’s activities include evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, executing transactions, and supporting management teams. The firm’s portfolio includes businesses across industries such as lumber, wood products, and industrial manufacturing. Examples include investments in Musser Lumber Company and Weston Forest, as well as its former ownership of Cooper Turner Beck and Tenere. Watermill also shares its investment criteria and information about its strategy, values, team, and portfolio through its website. With more than four decades of investing experience, the firm seeks businesses where fresh thinking and strategic change can help unlock value.
