## Description

WattAnyWhere is a Swiss-French cleantech startup developing renewable, off-grid electricity solutions for businesses facing limited, costly, or unreliable grid access. Its main offering is a portable, modular generator that converts ethanol into electricity using a solid oxide fuel cell and ethanol reformer. Designed as a primary energy source, each unit delivers 300 kW of power and can be deployed as a standalone system or expanded to meet changing demand.

The company targets retail businesses, electric vehicle charging operators, and other industries, with applications including resilient power for microgrids and potential replacement of diesel generators. WattAnyWhere says its systems can be installed quickly, occupy roughly the footprint of a parking space, and be moved between locations. The technology uses ethanol, including fuel derived from residues, and produces electricity without combustion, reducing harmful air pollutants. Ethanol storage also provides a practical way to support continuous power, while deionized water is produced as a byproduct. Through its energy systems and project-focused services, WattAnyWhere aims to help organizations access dependable, lower-emission electricity.
