## Description

Wave Midwifery provides independent midwifery care for families in Skipton, Airedale, and North and West Yorkshire. Founded by Pip, a midwife qualified since 2017 with experience in both NHS and private practice, the service offers personalised support throughout pregnancy and the early weeks after birth. Its approach centres on continuity, unhurried appointments, and clear, evidence-informed information, with care from a familiar midwife who takes time to understand each family’s history, hopes, and concerns.

Services include complete antenatal and postnatal care, antenatal-only and postnatal-only packages, one-off antenatal appointments, and home visits for postnatal and feeding support. Families can also arrange bespoke birth planning, birth reflection and birth trauma support, and private antenatal classes delivered in their own home for the expectant parent and birth partner. Complete care can extend from eight weeks of pregnancy until the baby is four to six weeks old. Wave’s independent appointments are designed to complement, not replace, NHS maternity care, helping parents feel informed, prepared, and supported.
