## Description

Wayne Ng is an award-winning author whose emotionally charged fiction explores family, identity, survival, and belonging. A social worker specializing in children and families, he draws on his professional experience to create vivid, authentic characters and stories shaped by secrets, conflict, and resilience. Based in Ottawa, Ng also writes about travel and describes himself as someone who enjoys writing, exploring, eating, and playing—ideally all at once.

His books include Letters From Johnny, a crime novella following eleven-year-old Johnny Wong as he tries to understand a murder, his absent father, and the FLQ crisis through letters to hockey legend Dave Keon. The book won Best Crime Novella at the 2022 Crime Writers of Canada Awards of Excellence and was an Ottawa Book Award finalist. Its sequel, Johnny Delivers, follows eighteen-year-old Johnny as he struggles to save his family and their Toronto restaurant. Ng’s novel The Family Code portrays a single mother confronting hardship and family silence. His website also features news, events, media resources, and travel writing.
