White Center CDA

White Center Community Development Association (WCCDA) is a nonprofit organization in unincorporated King County, Washington. The association was formed in 2002 by 50 resident leaders who recognized the need to revitalize their culturally diverse neighborhood. WCCDA's mission is to improve the quality of life for White Center residents by addressing various issues such as affordable housing, small business support, and family development.

In addition to neighborhood revitalization, WCCDA plays a crucial role in community building and acts as a neighborhood intermediary. They are committed to supporting the White Center community through their programs and partnership initiatives. WCCDA also collaborates with the Unincorporated Economic BIPOC Alliance to create community-led economic initiatives.

White Center, often referred to as Rat City, is a diverse area located between West Seattle and Burien. Despite its historical resilience and cultural connections, White Center has been disproportionately affected by COVID-19. WCCDA continues to work towards eradicating poverty and building an economically diverse community.
