## Description

The World Cat Federation E.V., known as WCF, is a global association of cat clubs founded on August 20, 1988, near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Registered as an international organization in Germany, the WCF is currently led by President Anneliese Hackmann from Essen. With 280 member associations worldwide, the WCF actively participates in legislative processes, contributing to the development of animal welfare laws at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The WCF serves to facilitate international connections for affiliated cat clubs, allowing them autonomy in their operations. The responsibilities of WCF include overseeing international cattery registrations, training and certifying WCF judges, setting breed standards, and establishing exhibition rules and categories. WCF judges are rigorously trained and can only adjudicate in their designated categories. Stay tuned for upcoming special events and seminars organized by WCF clubs worldwide to engage and educate cat enthusiasts.
