## Description

We-Consent is a long-term national programme and project of Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, created to inform, educate and engage people across society about consent. Its work aims to strengthen understanding, encourage conversations and help build a culture in which everyone’s choices are valued and respected. The programme explains consent as a freely given, voluntary agreement, emphasizing that it must be specific, can be changed at any time, and depends on each person’s ability to make and communicate choices safely.

We-Consent offers a Resource Hub with articles, videos and toolkits covering consent, the law, supporting survivors and healthy relationships. Through WeSpeak.ie, people can share their stories safely, securely and anonymously, and connect with a survivor community. The programme also invites people to become ambassadors and help start conversations about consent. For anyone affected by the campaign or by a personal experience, it signposts the Freephone 24-hour National Helpline on 1800 77 8888. Overall, We-Consent combines education, community participation and support to promote healthier, safer relationships.
