## Description

The Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing physics and supporting scientific exchange and education. It organizes and funds events where researchers can share their findings, while helping future scientists take their first steps in the field, from school through university. Its programs include physics schools, seminars, retreats, workshops, and conferences, as well as support for students, teachers, early-career researchers, and senior professors. The foundation also runs programs with the German Physical Society and supports publications. Its activities extend beyond research gatherings to initiatives that encourage science education and public engagement, including teaching materials on quantum computing and opportunities in science journalism. The foundation publishes news about its funding and programs, shares upcoming and past event information, and provides guidance on its funding priorities and application process. Based in Hanau, Germany, it also hosts the annual WE-Heraeus Forum, bringing attention to the role of physics in understanding and shaping the world.
