## Description

WeatherHawks is a dedicated brand founded by Keith Thompson, a retired airline pilot based in Colorado Springs, whose passion for meteorology began during his college years. With a remarkable 45-year career in aviation, Keith understands the critical importance of accurate weather data for operational safety. Today, he serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for El Paso and Teller Counties in Colorado, leading a network of nearly 500 volunteers who contribute daily weather observations through the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS). WeatherHawks not only focuses on gathering essential meteorological information but also fosters a community of weather enthusiasts and observers. Through its Facebook pages, WeatherHawks and CoCoRaHS, the brand engages with the public, sharing insights and reports that benefit both private and public agencies. By bridging his aviation background with a love for weather, WeatherHawks plays a vital role in enhancing the understanding and dissemination of weather-related data, ensuring safety and awareness for all.
