## Description

The World Wide Web Foundation, co-founded by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, is dedicated to promoting a safe, empowering, and accessible web for all. Established in 2009, the organization advocates for digital rights and aims to ensure that the internet remains an open and universal platform. Under Berners-Lee’s guidance, who originally invented the World Wide Web in 1989, the Foundation has focused on upholding principles such as decentralization, non-discrimination, and universal accessibility. It challenges efforts to impose restrictions or proprietary controls over the web, instead emphasizing the importance of open standards and community collaboration.

The Foundation offers resources and publications that educate the public about web rights and responsibilities, along with initiatives that aim to improve internet access globally. By fostering a culture of innovation and creativity, the World Wide Web Foundation encourages individuals and organizations to participate actively in shaping the future of the web, emphasizing that the internet should serve as a resource for everyone.
