## Description

RÍO & MEÑAKA is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2018, representing established Spanish and international artists. Based in Madrid, it presents an exhibition programme that embraces diverse artistic languages and perspectives, bringing together practices that engage with current social and artistic challenges. Its roster includes artists such as Marlon de Azambuja, Regina Giménez, Julia Llerena, Saelia Aparicio and Uxío da Vila. Alongside exhibitions, the gallery takes part in art fairs and develops projects that extend its work beyond the gallery space. These initiatives include artist residencies, university education programmes and projects created for public and private institutions. Through this activity, RÍO & MEÑAKA supports the production, research and dissemination of contemporary art. The gallery’s Madrid space hosts exhibitions and welcomes visitors during the week and on Saturday mornings. Its RÍO & MEÑAKA Residency is located in Carabanchel, Madrid, and operates by appointment. Together, these spaces and programmes connect artists, audiences and institutions through an active, varied approach to contemporary art.
