## Description

Medical Decoding and Translating Institute Online Foundation is a non-public organization that offers scholarships to college students pursuing a career in healthcare. The foundation awards two $1,000 scholarships specifically to bilingual college students, which sets it apart from others. In addition, the foundation prioritizes the education of medical school students. Another organization that provides scholarships is the Illinois-based National Merit Scholarship Company. They offer National Advantage Scholarships and also exclusively award National Achievement Scholarships to high-achieving African-American students. From a pool of over 160,000 entrants, around 1,600 semi-finalists are named each year, with announcements made on September 29. The National Achievement Scholarships amount to $2,500 each, with an additional 100 or so awards sponsored by external companies. These scholarships provide valuable financial support for students pursuing their educational goals in the field of healthcare and beyond.
