## Description

Wee Warriors Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting families in New Mexico whose babies are medically fragile. The organization works to improve outcomes for these infants and their loved ones by providing resources, services, and advocacy to families and the local entities that assist them. A Wee Warrior may be born very premature, have a serious medical condition or diagnosis, or have a syndrome that makes the baby medically fragile.

The project offers NICU Support Boxes to eligible New Mexico families with babies in the NICU or recently discharged. These boxes provide information, supplies, and helpful necessities for parents and babies during a challenging time. Wee Warriors Project also raises funds to help rural New Mexico hospitals add or upgrade services in special care nurseries and Level II NICUs. In addition, it offers small scholarships, including support for continuing education and certifications for lactation care professionals. The organization invites community members to donate, get involved, and share their experiences to help strengthen support for medically fragile babies across the state.
