## Description

Wegweiser gGmbH is a German nonprofit organization that has supported people with disabilities since 1994, developing from an association into a limited-liability company with charitable status. Based in Waren, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it works alongside individuals to promote participation in community life and help each person pursue an independent, personally meaningful path. Its approach combines practical assistance with encouragement to overcome external barriers and limiting assumptions.

Wegweiser provides integration assistance, including individual and group support, day centers, mobile assistance, everyday-life support, and supported living through the Malchower Inselwohnsitz. Its services and locations include Waren, Stavenhagen, and Malchow. The organization also offers the Integration Specialist Service in Neubrandenburg, which supports people with disabilities in participating in working life, and a unified contact point that advises employers.

A multidisciplinary team brings varied professional qualifications and experience to this work. Staff participate in continuing education, supervision, and regular professional exchange. Wegweiser is a member of several social welfare and sector associations and participates in the Müritz Equality Forum and the Transparent Civil Society Initiative.
