## Description

WEIRD Market is a Spanish professional event focused on animation, video games, and new media. Based in Madrid and staging events in locations including Valencia and Sitges, it brings together creative professionals, companies, and audiences to share work, build connections, and explore developments across these sectors. Its annual program combines a professional market with a festival and related activities. The market offers industry accreditation and opportunities for participants to arrange professional meetings, while festival programming showcases projects and provides a wider public-facing experience. WEIRD also publishes news, event agendas, catalogs, reports, and press resources, helping visitors follow industry activity and learn about featured work. Its website shares updates on calls, opportunities, partnerships, and upcoming editions, and offers a newsletter for sector news and announcements. The event’s social channels, video content, and image archive provide additional ways to discover its activities. With a history of attracting hundreds of accredited attendees and facilitating numerous requested meetings, WEIRD describes itself as a leading meeting point for Spain’s animation, video game, and new media industries.
