## Description

Weird Uncle Comedy is an English-language live comedy brand bringing international stand-up to Nijmegen, Leiden, and The Hague in the Netherlands. Founded in 2019 as a series of small open-mic nights in Amsterdam, it has grown into a regular destination for expats, internationals, and local comedy fans seeking an enjoyable night out. Its shows feature carefully selected headliners from the UK, the US, and European comedy circuits, chosen for their performance quality rather than social media popularity. Weird Uncle presents one-night-only appearances alongside regular events at venues including Tierney’s in Nijmegen, QBus Club in Leiden, and Branoul Theater in The Hague. All performances are in English, creating a welcoming setting for audiences who want to discover international comedy and connect with others. The brand aims to bring people together through live entertainment, support local venues, and keep ticket prices fair without compromising on quality. Led by comedian and producer Sharon Em, the team works with local MCs to deliver well-run shows with positive energy.
