## Description

Welcome to The Village was a beloved cultural festival and community event situated in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, known for creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere over the past decade. It celebrated social design and fostered connections among artists, creators, and attendees. This unique festival village offered a range of engaging activities, from workshops and performances to interactive installations that encouraged creative expression and collaboration.

Though the festival has officially concluded, its legacy endures through a documentary exploring its impact, produced by co-founder Koen Haringa and filmmaker Herman Zeilstra. This documentary, along with a soundtrack featuring Friese artists, captures the essence of the Welcome to The Village experience. As the community reflects on the cherished memories, its spirit lives on, leaving a void that will be felt by many. Stay informed about any future projects or updates by subscribing to their newsletter, as the ethos of Welcome to The Village continues to inspire creativity and connection.
