## Description

WE League, established in September 2021, is Japan’s first professional women's soccer league, officially known as Women Empowerment League. The league aims to not only bolster women's participation in sports but also to contribute significantly to the empowerment of women in Japan. By providing a platform for female athletes, WE League strives to create a society where dreams and diverse lifestyles can flourish.

With a structure that initially included 11 teams, the WE League operates under a promotion-relegation-free format, ensuring stability during its growth phases. The league conducts its matches in a home-and-away round-robin format, allowing fans to engage with their favorite teams more closely.

The league’s mascot, "Wina," symbolizes victory, and the overarching vision is to make Japanese female soccer competitive on a global scale, aiming to return Japan’s national team, Nadeshiko Japan, to the top of the world rankings. Through various partnerships and community engagement, WE League is dedicated to building an active, vibrant community for women athletes.
