## Description

Welios is a science center in Wels, Austria, operated by Welios Betriebs-GmbH. It invites visitors of all ages to explore technology, energy and the natural sciences through more than 150 interactive stations. Its permanent exhibition spans two floors, complemented by special exhibitions that offer new themes to discover. Visitors can take part in experiments, workshops and science shows, making the center a destination for families as well as school and kindergarten groups.

Welios supports learning with age-appropriate workshops for kindergarten, primary school and secondary school students. Its free quiz questionnaires and “Wissenpfade” guide visitors through selected exhibits, with activities available to download, print or purchase at the center. The program also includes events such as Science Talks, and the website shares exhibit explanations through social media. Visitors can find practical information about tickets, travel and the site layout online, while teachers and families can subscribe to separate research-news updates. Welios also highlights a planet path along the Traun in Wels, extending its science-focused experience beyond the exhibition spaces.
