## Description

Wellenbezwingen e.V. is a German organization that uses surfing, sport and nature to support the development of children and young people from socially disadvantaged communities. Its year-round surf clubs help participants prepare for experiences in the ocean, build confidence in the water and apply what they learn to everyday challenges. Through surf-therapeutic and sports-pedagogical activities, the organization encourages young people to discover their potential and strengthen social skills.

Wellenbezwingen’s programs combine surfing with swimming and paddling practice, team-building games and shared reflection. Activities are designed to promote self-esteem, courage, perseverance, integration, community and a mindful relationship with nature. Supportive, respectful relationships are central to the organization’s approach, helping young people build resources and perspectives for the future. Surf days are tailored to participants and emphasize safety, cooperation and enjoyment. The organization also offers international surf therapy and Surf & Share initiatives, and invites supporters to contribute through donations or involvement.
