## Description

Wellington Dance Academy is a children’s dance school serving families across Wellington, New Zealand. It welcomes students from around two and a half years old through their teenage years, with classes organised for preschoolers, juniors, graded dancers and seniors. Its programmes guide students from beginner lessons towards advanced levels, supporting confidence, focus, coordination and self-expression along the way.

Students can explore ballet, jazz, hip hop and contemporary dance, with age-appropriate teaching and opportunities to perform, take part in social events or join a dance team. The academy’s teachers include registered instructors with the Royal Academy of Dance and the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance. Families can choose from weekday and weekend classes at studios in Thorndon and Khandallah, with additional classes in Seatoun. The Thorndon studio has viewing windows and CCTV monitors so parents can follow their child’s progress. New dancers may be able to start during the school year, and families can review class options and enrol online for 2026 or contact the team for help choosing a suitable class.
