Welcome to the WELS Benefit Plans Office! We offer two main benefit plans: the WELS VEBA Group Health Care Plan and the WELS Pension Plan. The WELS VEBA Group Health Care Plan is available to all active, eligible workers at WELS and ELS ministry locations. It provides comprehensive medical, prescription drug, and vision benefits.

Additionally, eligible workers can enroll in a range of voluntary benefits offered by WELS VEBA. On the other hand, the WELS Pension Plan is a defined benefit plan that provides retirement benefits to eligible, vested participants in the form of a monthly lifetime annuity. It also includes benefits for surviving spouses and a lump sum death benefit for workers serving an active call.

We also offer the WELS Shepherd Plan, a voluntary 403(b) retirement income account plan that allows workers to save and invest a portion of their earnings for retirement.
