## Description

Wendy Gough Soroka is a Los Angeles-based theatre artist whose work spans playwriting, acting, directing, and mask making. Her website presents her theatre projects, original plays, acting résumé, production stills, and directing work, alongside material exploring masks and theatre traditions. Soroka’s writing includes both full-length and short plays. Her full-length play Imago, about an uncompromising painter drawn into complicated family relationships as she develops her boldest work, is being produced in Hollywood. Her short plays have also been selected for festivals, including Thunder at The A Chronicles 10 Minute Play Festival and works presented at Short+Sweet Hollywood, where Perseids received honors including Best Playwright and Best Drama. Soroka additionally participates in rapid-turnaround theatre events, writing scripts within the constraints of 24-hour productions. Beyond theatre, her site features essays and resources on masks in ancient Greece and Rome, Japanese traditional theatre, martial arts, and martial artists. It also reflects her involvement in Kenpo, including teaching a children’s class.
