## Description

Werkgroep Fossielen Wageningen is a regional fossil enthusiasts’ group in Gelderland, the Netherlands, and a welcoming starting point for anyone interested in collecting and learning about fossils. Its activities are suited to beginners, amateurs and more experienced hobbyists, including people at a semi-professional level. Members can take part in excursions, regular meetings, lectures and other group activities, with information about locations, registration, excursion rules and safety. The group also supports the practical side of fossil collecting through opportunities to search for, identify, prepare and discuss finds, as well as advice for beginners and access to equipment borrowing. Its website offers a library and book resources, a fossil photo archive, films, documents and downloads, and information about geology and the geological timeline. Members can share discoveries and take part in the annual fossil-of-the-year selection. The group publishes club news and paleontology updates, and has a public presence at local events. Werkgroep Fossielen Wageningen is an affiliated group of the LVGA and provides a community for people who want to explore fossils together.
