## Description

The Wesleyan Argus is the esteemed student-run newspaper of Wesleyan University, established in 1868, making it the oldest twice-weekly college publication in the United States. Named after the all-seeing giant from Greek mythology, The Argus operates independently from the university, allowing for unbiased reporting and a platform for diverse opinions among the student body. The paper is published twice weekly during the academic year, featuring news, opinion pieces, arts and culture coverage, sports, and more.

The Argus welcomes community engagement through Letters to the Editor, fostering a democratic dialogue on pressing topics. In addition, it is committed to inclusivity with initiatives like Argus Voices, which provides paid reporting positions to students of color from low-income backgrounds, enhancing the representation within student journalism. The editorial team maintains a commitment to thoughtful discourse, ensuring that all voices can engage in a civil forum. With a storied history and a progressive vision, The Wesleyan Argus remains a vital resource for the Wesleyan community.
