## Description

The Western Bass Club (WBC), established in 1938, is the oldest chartered bass fishing club in the United States, founded by Ed "Mr. Bass" Frederich. Based in Washington State, the club was formed to address issues related to warm water fisheries, focusing on bass, crappie, and perch. Over the decades, the WBC has played a pivotal role in the conservation and propagation of these species, actively engaging in habitat restoration projects and the fight against water pollution.

With a diverse membership extending beyond Washington to Oregon, Idaho, and northern California, the WBC hosts six multi-format tournaments annually, alongside an annual swap meet and awards banquet. Monthly fish-ins and educational clinics enhance members' fishing skills and foster community. The club is proud of its heritage and continues to innovate, welcoming new members to participate in its legacy of promoting bass fishing. Join the Western Bass Club to connect with fellow enthusiasts and contribute to the future of warm water fisheries.
