Welcome to Western Local School District, home of the Indians! We are a small, rural district in Appalachia, serving students from grades K-12. Our state-of-the-art facility, opened in 1998, is a source of pride for us. In 2004, we added an Elementary building to our campus.

Together, we aim to provide educational experiences that inspire and prepare our students for success and productive citizenship. Our mission is to deliver high-quality education every day, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

With our motto, Every Student, Every Day, Whatever it Takes!, we are committed to going above and beyond to support our students. We also have a strong athletic program, with teams in basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, golf, soccer, cross country, track, football, baseball, softball, and more. Our school spirit is captured in our inspiring school song, celebrating the Green and the White.
