West Food Planning is a brand that aims to provide deliciousness and bring vitality to the world. With a passion to make udon the soul food of the world and spread energy globally, the founder opened Kodawari Menya in 1998 at the age of 26. Their challenge was to create udon that couldn't be beaten by anyone, starting with nothing but enthusiasm.


Along the way, they experienced numerous obstacles and farewells. However, they continued to share their vision of spreading energy through udon with their companions. After 20 years, Kodawari Menya has grown to 14 stores, welcoming 2 million customers each year.


They have also expanded internationally and introduced a new concept called Tamago Curry Udon Kare Tama in 2018. Currently, the brand has a team of 250 individuals working together at West Food Planning. Their philosophy is 1 millimeter of growth every day, believing that even small progress will eventually lead to significant steps forward.


With their shared passion and dreams, each member collaborates to bring vitality to the world. They are committed to creating a food culture that satisfies both the heart and body through their new mission of Creating a food culture that fulfills both the heart and body through food. Despite starting alone, the founder now acknowledges that the support of their companions is essential for their success.


Their journey represents a 730cm growth, almost equivalent to the length of a bowl of their signature kake udon, over 20 years. From here, their challenge begins to deliver more and more udon to people worldwide and spread energy further. With renewed passion and determination, West Food Planning is dedicated to taking a bigger step forward and creating a culture of food that nourishes both the heart and body.
