West Hawthorn Pre-school is a community-run kindergarten that values the contributions and ideas of its members. By drawing on the skills and input of our community, we create a truly special and inclusive learning environment. As a member of our Incorporated Association, each family has a say in important decisions about our kindergarten, ensuring that their values and priorities are reflected in the program we offer.

There are various ways for parents to get involved, such as becoming a parent helper during sessions, joining the committee to contribute to the successful running of the kindergarten, or participating in fundraising activities to support essential resources and services for the children. Our Class Representatives facilitate communication between teachers and parents, organizing social events and providing support to new families. Additionally, we have a dedicated team working on our Reconciliation Action Plan, fostering understanding and reconciliation between our Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
