About

Description

At West Iron County High School, we are dedicated to providing excellence in education and fostering personal and social growth for all students. As a consolidated system made up of the former Bates Township School, Iron River Public Schools, and the Stambaugh Township Schools, our district encompasses the cities of Iron River, Caspian, Gaastra, and the townships of Bates, Iron River, and Stambaugh. With a current enrollment of approximately 850 students from kindergarten to twelfth grade, we ensure that all teachers in our district are highly qualified according to the standards set by the State of Michigan and the federal government's No Child Left Behind policy.

We offer a diverse range of academic courses, clubs, and extracurricular activities to engage and inspire our students. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where students can achieve their full academic potential, develop high moral values, and cultivate a positive self-image. From our Stambaugh Elementary School to our West Iron County Middle & High School, we strive to create positive learning experiences and address individual needs through various teaching methods.
