## Description

The West Marin Scholarship Program, formerly known as the Inverness Garden Scholarship Fund, aims to make college affordable for academically deserving students with financial needs residing in coastal West Marin. Over 50 years old, the program has provided scholarships to local college-bound students, supporting them through their college journey. Transitioning into a separate organization, the program continues its mission of enabling access to higher education for West Marin students. By offering scholarships, mentoring, and community support, the program helps students focus on their education and successfully graduate without the burden of debt. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and academic merit, allowing students to pursue various educational paths, including 2-year and 4-year colleges, vocational programs, and certificates. With individualized support from mentors, scholars receive guidance, advocacy, and resources to navigate their college experience and achieve their academic goals. The West Marin Scholarship Program remains dedicated to empowering local youth and fostering a community that values higher education and equitable opportunities.
