Welcome to Westside Makerspace! We are a collaborative community brand that provides access to tools, equipment, and instruction for members to learn, create, and collaborate on their craft. Our goal is to empower our community by reinvesting in local talent and resources. Located in the historic and entrepreneurial area of West Dayton, we draw inspiration from the rich history of art and innovation in the region.

Our founders, Edwin Dirksen, Cherrelle Gardner, Claude Nicol, and Alvin Wilkerson, started this grassroots Makerspace project in 2019. Beginning with just three pieces of machinery in a garage, we have now expanded to a 1000 sq. We have even bigger plans for the future, including studio and office spaces for rent, larger workshops, and more equipment.
