## Description

West Yorkshire CANN (Children’s Additional Needs Network) is a vital collaborative network established to enhance support for families with children who have additional needs across the Greater West Yorkshire area. Formed in 2016, the network has evolved to comprise around 40 member organizations, including local, regional, and national charities, as well as statutory groups like Leeds City Council and NHS teams.

The network's mission is to facilitate effective communication and resource sharing among its members, boosting the support available to families. Key initiatives include a user-friendly website that consolidates essential information, a closed Facebook group for real-time collaboration among organizations, and regular meetings to share best practices and program developments. Services offered through member organizations encompass a wide range, from recreational equipment and bespoke wheelchairs by Variety to inclusive live music experiences by Made With Music and theatre training for individuals with learning disabilities through Mind the Gap. Overall, West Yorkshire CANN aims to create a more accessible and efficient support system for families facing these challenges.
