## Description

West Grinstead Swim Academy is an award-winning swimming school and purpose-built teaching pool in West Grinstead, Mid Sussex. Opened in 2020, the academy provides lessons for swimmers from newborns to advanced levels, helping children build water confidence and develop essential swimming skills with experienced, supportive teachers. In 2025, it received Swim England’s gold award for National Swim School of the Year, after winning silver in 2023 and bronze in 2024.

Lessons are offered through a 50-week programme, with small class sizes, in-water teaching for early stages, and parent-and-baby classes. Swimmers can earn badges and track their progress through an online portal; catch-up lessons may be available, subject to availability. The academy also offers intensive courses.

Its purpose-built facility features managed water quality and air conditions, a viewing area, spacious changing rooms, showers, baby-changing facilities, and on-site parking. Located on the A272 between Haywards Heath and Horsham, West Grinstead Swim Academy combines specialist facilities and tailored instruction to support enjoyable, progressive swimming lessons for children of different ages and abilities.
