## Description

World Heritage Animal Genomic Resources (WHAGR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving endangered heritage livestock and rare animal genetics. Since 1993, it has maintained living conservation herds and safeguarded breeds whose adaptive traits, including resilience to drought, disease, and extreme weather, can support more climate-resilient agriculture. WHAGR’s approach connects genetic preservation with the landscapes, ecological functions, cultural knowledge, and communities associated with these animals.

The organization offers corporations and financial institutions measurable ESG partnership opportunities focused on biodiversity conservation, landscape restoration, and community stewardship. Its initiatives include Conservation Chronicles, an educational series in production about heritage breed conservation, and the Celestial Horse Diplomacy Project, an international conservation initiative planned for announcement in 2026. WHAGR also plans to establish The Legacy Center in 2026 as a sanctuary and educational destination, combining conservation herds, regenerative agriculture demonstrations, research partnerships, and public learning. Through conservation, storytelling, and international collaboration, WHAGR aims to protect genetic heritage while demonstrating how biodiversity efforts can contribute to resilient landscapes and food systems.
