## Description

Established in 1913, Whakatane Rowing Club is a community rowing club based on the banks of the Whakatane River in New Zealand. Its location provides access to a 20-kilometre circuit of rowing water, and the club welcomes learners, school-age rowers and masters. Members can take part at different levels, from social rowing to developing as future elite competitors. With more than a century of experience, Whakatane Rowing Club has a proud history of producing accomplished rowers and supporting participation across generations.

The club shares information about joining, training and club life, alongside its history, events, gallery and member resources. It also promotes rowing competitions, including the Blue Lake Regatta, and provides practical information such as an event calendar, course map and current course conditions. Its website connects members and visitors with club policies, safety resources, newsletters, prizegiving information and external rowing organisations. Whether someone is new to the sport or an experienced rower, Whakatane Rowing Club offers a place to participate, compete and engage with the local rowing community.
