Whatcom DRC, or the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center, is a prominent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established in 1992 by dedicated volunteers with a shared vision of helping the community overcome conflicts and restore harmony. Recognized as the County's official Dispute Resolution Center by the Whatcom County Council, the WDRC aims to provide productive and collaborative approaches to conflict resolution. They provide conflict prevention and intervention services, including mediation, facilitation, coaching, and training programs for adults and youth. Moreover, in 2018, the WDRC acquired the historic building at 206 Prospect Street, which now serves as a permanent home for peace.
