## Description

Wheatley Village Archive is a community history resource dedicated to preserving and sharing the story of Wheatley, Oxfordshire. Its website brings together information, photographs, maps and artefacts about the village, its buildings, schools and churches, residents, family histories, trades, occupations and events. Visitors can explore the digital archive by map or keyword, search records relating to local men who served in the First World War, and consult genealogical records through a family-tree database. The site also features two heritage trails, publications and links to other organisations, helping residents, researchers and former villagers discover more about local life and family connections. Some records, original materials and items that could not be digitised are available for inspection at the Archive’s location in the village library. The Archive also offers publications, calendars and tea towels for purchase, and welcomes donations to support its work. Run by a community archive team, Wheatley Village Archive provides a valuable link between local history, family research and the wider community.
