## Description

WheeLog is a certified nonprofit organization in Japan working toward a world where wheelchair users do not have to give up on places they want to visit or experiences they want to enjoy. Its mission is to reduce barriers and help everyone live with dignity, regardless of mobility. The organization addresses four types of barriers: information, attitudes and awareness, physical access, and systems.

WheeLog’s activities include the WheeLog! app, which supports access to wheelchair-related information; wheelchair street walks that bring people together to experience and consider the city; barrier-free surveys; and policy advocacy. Through these initiatives, the organization works with wheelchair users, volunteers, companies, public agencies, educational institutions, and other partners to encourage more inclusive communities. It also shares activity reports, gives talks, and holds events, while inviting people to participate as volunteers or supporters. Donations help fund its work, and contributions to the certified nonprofit may qualify for tax benefits. WheeLog’s guiding vision is a society where anyone can go anywhere and pursue the life they want.
