## Description

Wherigo is an innovative brand that offers a unique toolset for creating and playing GPS-enabled adventures in the real world. With Wherigo, you can utilize GPS technology to guide you to physical locations and interact with virtual objects and characters. The platform was born from the vision of Jeremy Irish and Elias Alvord, who aimed to bring their favorite adventure games to the outdoors using GPS technology. After years of experimentation and hard work, they developed Wherigo—a platform that allows you to build location-based GPS experiences on your computer and play them in the real world. Imagine playing popular video games like Zork, Secret of Monkey Island, or Myst, but in the park around the corner or on the beach during your family vacation. Instead of clicking a mouse, you physically move from one location to another to advance the story, and instead of searching for puzzle clues on a screen, you look for them in the real world. Wherigo offers endless possibilities for creating interactive tours, adventure games, and puzzles. Whether you're interested in a walking tour of city sights, a neighborhood scavenger hunt, an innovative marketing proposal, a pub crawl for friends, an interactive fictional adventure, or even an alternate reality game, Wherigo provides the tools for you to bring these experiences to life. Wherigo's goal is to reintroduce the adventure game genre by making it easy for anyone to create and play location-based adventures in the real world. The physical world becomes the backdrop for engaging storylines and location-specific virtual entertainment. The brand offers location-based cartridges that go beyond just adventure games, allowing cartridge builders to create a wide range of interesting experiences for players. Whether you're a gaming enthusiast, a tourist exploring a new city, or a creative individual looking to bring your ideas to life, Wherigo provides an exciting and immersive way to experience the real world. Discover the endless possibilities of Wherigo and start creating your own GPS adventures today.
