## Description

Whittakers Funeral Home is a family-owned funeral service based in Ruakākā, New Zealand, personally run by Eldon and Leslee Whittaker. With more than 20 years living in the Whangārei area, they support families across Ruakākā, Waipu, One Tree Point, Bream Bay, Whangārei and wider Northland. Guided by compassion, faith and whānau, their care is tailored to each family’s wishes, traditions and budget.

The business arranges funeral, burial and cremation services, and offers a range of caskets and urns. Families can choose a service-led farewell or a simple cremation, with costs explained transparently. The Family Care Package for burial or cremation starts at $4,950 plus GST, while the Simple Cremation Care Package starts at $2,800 plus GST; additional fees, such as cemetery, cremation or medical costs, may apply. Whittakers also offers funeral pre-planning, practical guidance after a death and free community talks. Its Kepa Road premises include a mortuary, private viewing room and family meeting space. Eldon and Leslee can meet families at the funeral home or travel to them.
