## Description

Wholesome Health Promotion (WHP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving wellness in rural areas and underserved communities in Cameroon. Its mission is to provide nutrition and health education while promoting practical, sustainable approaches to better health. WHP’s programs address community needs through public education, workshops, and initiatives focused on water, sanitation, and hygiene. Topics featured in its work include women’s health and personal hygiene, food poisoning awareness and prevention, and diabetes awareness. The organization has also supported access to clean water, including donating a 10,000-liter-capacity borehole to the Buea Town Integrated Health Center to help address recurring water shortages. WHP engages local residents and community stakeholders in its activities, creating opportunities for learning and open discussion. Founded and promoted by Terese Tande, the organization operates from Aurora, Illinois, and carries out its health-promotion work in Cameroon. Through education and community-based projects, Wholesome Health Promotion seeks to encourage informed choices and strengthen general wellness in the communities it serves.
